The term "qualia" was introduced in philosophical literature by C. I. Lewis. The term is derived from Latin and implies "of what kind". It is largely a quantity or property of some thing as perceived or seasoned by somebody, just like the scent of rose, the style of wine, or maybe the ache of the headache.
